  • Easter Holiday Arrangements

    Wednesday 31st March is the last day of the Spring Term.

    Track and Trace during the Easter Holiday Break

    Once we do close, any child who was in school on Wednesday and then develops symptoms on or before Friday 2nd April 2021 and then tests positive for COVID-19must be reported to enable us to track and trace close contacts and ask them to isolate. Please email admin@parklane.brent.sch.uk with the following details:

    Your child’s name

    Your child’s class

    The day you developed symptoms.

    The date the test was taken.

    When you received the test result.

     

    If they develops symptoms on Saturday 3rd April or later, there is no need to inform us. You should follow the normal rules on self-isolation

  • Safer Internet Assembly

    Tuesday 9th February was Safer Internet Day, a day celebrated across the globe which recognises all the amazing things that we can do over the internet and how we can keep ourselves safe while using it. This year’s theme was Trust Online and 6G tackled this subject indepth while producing a class assembly which they have shared with the rest of the school, and would like to share with you. Please refer to the School Videos page in the Children Tab on our website to watch the video.

    Today Friday 12th February is last day of the half term 

    Track and Trace over the half break

    Once we do close, any child who was onsite and then develops symptoms on Saturday 12th February or Sunday 14th February and then tests positive, must be reported to enable us to track and trace close contacts and ask them to isolate. Please email: admin@parklane.brent.sch.uk with the following details:

    ·         Your child’s name

    ·         Your child’s class

    ·         The day you developed symptoms.

    ·         The date the test was taken.

    ·         When you received the test result.

    If they develop symptoms on Monday 15th February or later, there is no need to inform us. You should follow the normal rules on self-isolation.

    End of Term Arrangements

    The last day for pupils to be in school will be Thursday 17th December 2020. This will be a non-uniform day - further details have been given to pupils about this.

    Once we do close, any child who develops symptoms on Friday 18th December or Saturday 19th December and then tests positive, must be reported to enable the school to track and trace close contacts and ask them to isolate. Please email admin@parklane.brent.sch.uk with the following details:

    ·         Your child's full name and class.

    ·         The day they developed symptoms.

    ·         The date the test was taken.

    ·         When you received the test result.

    If your child develops symptoms on Sunday 20th December or later, there is no need to inform the school. You should follow the normal rules on self-isolation.

     

     

  • Roman project

    In year 4, we have been learning about the Romans.  In our history lessons we have studied who the Romans where and why the Romans invaded Britain. Additionally, we did our own research and we research different topics related to Romans ( Food, lifestyle, roads and travel). Additionally, as part of our homework, we created 3D models of Roman houses, the Colosseum, a sword, helmet and a shield.

  • Thank You from Naggo Head Primary School

    During our celebration of English Week in the 2019/20 school year, the children at Park Lane Primary School dressed as their favourite story book character and made a small contribution for the non-uniform day.  The proceeds were used to purchase dictionaries and story books for our sister school, Naggo Head Primary School in Jamaica.  We would like to share with you their letter of thanks.

     

  • Remembrance Day

    The pupils and staff at Park Lane Primary School will observe Remembrance Day with 2 minutes of silence on at 11am on the 11th of November (the eleventh month of the year).  A special assembly will be held in recognition of the event and children will have the opportunity, over the next week, to make a donation and wear a poppy in support of the Royal British Legion.
  • Spooktacular Fashion Show - 6G

    For the Black History Month, the year 6 have been reading about Naomi Campbell - The Black British Model. As part of the activities, Class 6G has performed a fashion show as Naomi is part of the fashion industry and modeling is her career.   • Butterfly

    The children enjoyed the last day before the half term break with Spooktacular Friday; in the afternoon there were class parties and competitions for the best fancy dress costumes.  Miss Maria made a visit to the children in EYFS and KS1 when she read Room on the Boom by Julia Donaldson, while dressed as the main character from the book.
