PE and Sport Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The government is providing additional funding of £150 million per annum (shared among all Primary schools) for academic years 2013/14 and 2014/15 to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is used to employ coaches or specialist teachers to cover planning preparation and assessment (PPA) arrangements - these should come out of your core staffing budgets and also teach the minimum requirements of the national curriculum - including those specified for swimming (or, in the case of academies and free schools, to teach your existing PE curriculum).
