  • The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration

    Thu 26 May 2022

On Thursday 26th May, pupils and staff enjoyed a special celebratory garden party in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee.  Lunch included finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, scones with jam and clotted cream, and tea cake.  The school playground was decorated for the occasion, and the entire school population dressed in red, white and blue - the colours of the the Union Jack.  Following lunch, the children enjoyed a disco in the playground.

This term we have been learning all about the Queen and her reign.  We have adapted the history curriculum to teach each year group a unit on the monarchy, as this is a once in a lifetime experience and our pupils have produced some excellent work.

  • Air Pollution Needs Solution

    Wed 25 May 2022

Our year 3 pupils participated in an art project managed by local artist Linett Kamala, who was chosen by Brent following her successful bid to lead the project.  In partnership with an ambassador from ‘Mums for Lungs’, a group that raises awareness on the effects of pollution, and another 3 schools in Brent, our year 3 pupils were asked to create a banner using words which emphasis the effects of pollution.  The work was unveiled on Tuesday 24th May at the front of the school, when members of the press were invited, along with representatives from the local council in Brent, our year 3 pupils and their parents.
